Color Notch Correction:
Remove light pollution like an optical filter to reduce artificial light yellow / brown out of a night sky.
Boost sky or sunset colors.
Two independent range bands. Pick the colour directly off the preview with the eyedropper, then adjust the selection with saturation and luminance trimmers. Show Selection displays exactly what you’re affecting, with Grow and Smoothing to shape the edges, and solo or reset either band on its own.
Color Correction : Toe Lift
Open up crushed shadows without floating your blacks. This works especially well with RAW images that have the image data visually hiding in the lowest values of the image. Desaturation adjustment keeps lifted shadows from having odd color casts.
Full Screen Playback mode and 1:1 pixel zoom.
Review your sequence full screen with playback controls, or zoom in to 100% to judge critical focus, star shape and noise at actual pixels.
Motion Smoothing
New temporal blending smooths out the staccato motion you get from with shorter shutter speeds.
Exposure Leveler (DeFlicker)
New Continuous Flicker mode for sequences that change both gradually over time and still have jumping frame to frame. Typically day to night sequences with artificial light flicker is a common case.
A new Toe lift adjustment that works in deep shadows for controlling darker near black values without changing the black level.
CR3 Format Imrovements: Files shot with Highlight Tone Priority or DR Boost now open at the correct exposure automatically.
Faster Smoother Playback: Playback is now optimized for ProMotion displays and newer macOS display technology. TimeLapse Forge makes full use of your Mac’s available memory, holding entire sequences in RAM where there’s room, so scrubbing and looping stay responsive on long RAW timelapses. RAW decoding is faster and lighter on the CPU.
